From the Chair...

It was a tale of two Catherine’s in our first round of the prestigious Rosebowl inter-club competition. We hosted the event using Zoom, pitched against Chesham and Field End with judging from the experienced Colin Harrison.

We were joined by members of all represented teams, creating a good friendly atmosphere for the evening.
There was a total of 45 Images to be critiqued and scored from the teams. Strong Images were naturally entered by all clubs, keen to continue their journey within this long standing prestigious competition.

Ultimately it was the two Catherine’s that achieved the biggest Individual award on the night by receiving a star for their outstanding Images.
Catherine Allen for Imaginary flowerscape (Field End)
Catherine (Cat) Humphries for Haunted (Croxley)

Field End won the overall first round by scoring 285 points.
Croxley came Second with a very strong 272 points
Chesham came third with 252 points.

We had a very strong selection and scored highly with a number of Images;
Cat Humphries - Haunted  20points
Gordon Calder - Bodacious  20points
Stuart Craig - Fun in the square  20points
Arron Dowdeswell - Aftermath  19 points
Steve Bailey - Character  19points
Ian Bennett - Gannet love  19points
Mike Brankin - The Eyes have it  19 points

Well done to all the team that represented the club in the competition.  Congratulations to Field End for their result and we look forward to the next round and continuing in this competition.  Following our recent win in the first round of the NW fed competition and a second place now in the Rosebowl we have got off to a good start in external competitions.  Thanks to our creative and talented membership.

The closing date for entries is Wednesday, 4th November 2020, and the final live judging for Visions will be via a Zoom meeting on Wednesday, 25th November. Judging all entries this year will be Richard Speirs DPAGB APAGB BPE2*.

Visit the Visions 2020 website to enter and for more information.

Inaugural Nature Cup Winner

Congratulations to Alan Rhodes, who has won the first ever Nature Cup!

This is a brand new Trophy, so the club ensured that adequate security was provided to ensure it's safe delivery to it's worthy winner for the 2019/10 season.

2019/20 Trophy Winners

In light of the current climate, we have not been able to hold our traditional trophy presentation to celebrate our 2019/20 winners.

Of course we still want to ensure our newly crowned winners receive their trophies.  Whilst we acknowledge the circumstances are less than ideal, the club asks that in these unprecedented circumstances, existing holders arrange a convenient time to hand trophies to their new guardians.  Once handovers are complete, please email Vanessa to let her know.  Certificates are also available by email, that can be printed at home.

Full details of which trophy needs to go where are available in the members area of the Club website.

If you need any additional information or have any queries regarding the transfer of trophies, please contact a member of the committee.
