From the Chair...
This week we had a really Inspiring presentation from John Humphrey with his ‘Creative photography’ talk.

John was a great communicator covering a number of different topics, which ranged from macro water drops, flower photography and his passion of pushing art boundaries with his abstract techniques.

His delivery style and content was pitched perfectly, giving useful Information on how he created many of his stunning Images.

For those that couldn’t make the online Zoom presentation, good news, it has been recorded and is available to view in the members area of our website. I would highly recommend catching this presentation of this exceptional photographer and his skilful creative techniques.

It was also announced at the meeting that we will be continuing with Weekly Zoom meetings throughout the summer. This follows the memberships enthusiasm to keep in contact during this period, with a ‘light’ programme of photography challenges and weekly communications.
Next season’s programme has just been published, which includes details of the summer meeting period.

A Thank You from Our Editor

Following my decision to stand down from the Secretary role at the last AGM, this will be my last newsletter.

I've really enjoyed sharing news about the club with you for the past few years, but recently with work and home life getting busier, I've found that it's time for me to hand over the reigns.

From next week, your new editor will be in the very capable hands of Anthony Highet, portrait photograher extordinaire and instagram maestro!

Ant will be looking after both the newsletter and our social media posts, so if you have any news you'd like to share, or events that need publicising, drop him a line on

Did You Miss Our Talk with John Humphrey?

Catch-up on the members area of our website where John's facinating talk is available to watch.

At this time of year Field End Photographic Society would be holding its annual print exhibition at the Cow Byre in Ruislip, where each member is invited to exhibit up to four prints of their own choosing. The exhibition would be open to the general public for a period of two weeks, where we would expect hundreds of visitors to attend over that time, and each visitor would be invited to vote for their two favourite images, with the winner receiving an award.

Given the current situation, we have obviously had to cancel this year’s exhibition being held physically, so have decided to host the exhibition online at the following website

Your members are therefore invited to visit our online 2020 exhibition and vote for their two favourite images via the survey link on the final page of the exhibition.

Thank you for sharing this with your members and let’s hope we return to normal as soon as it is safe.

 In the meantime, stay safe.
