Accessible & accurate trans news and information from around Asia Pacific

Dear APTN friends,

We ended the year 2021 with gloom by the loss of our sister, Alexa Dominich that was passed away last month in December. She has been a stoic advocate for the trans movement in Indonesia for more than 10 years, bringing to awareness the issues experienced by the trans community to the regional level. As a testament to her strength and courage, she is in our prayers.

Nevertheless, approaching the first month of 2022, APTN is already moving with some of our programs. This month, we are doing the "APTN Trans COMP Community-based Monitoring Training" with 8 countries participants. We are also opening a registration for "Peer Support Workshop" collaborating with Mariwala Health Initiative. For those who are keen to learn how to meet the mental health needs of the trans communities, visit the registration link inside our newsletter.

Read our newsletter for upcoming community activities including the ILGA Asia Conference! Despite the loss that we had last year, we wish that this coming year lead you on a new exciting adventure, complete with life-changing experiences and deeper friendships.

Regards,
