It's here.....Lucy Boston Block 7.......

Wow, what a busy few weeks. And in the middle of it all Mother Nature has delivered some surprises all over Australia. We had our flooding rains last weekend which brought our local village Festival to a grinding halt. Shiralee Stitches shop was tucked away tightly in the car awaiting stall set-up early in the morning, when the creeks began roaring and the show was off! So what is a girl do???....make another Lucy Boston block!!
Would you believe we have 44 ladies receiving these blocks all across Australia. As you are all no doubt aware, my little Shiralee Stitches business is a fairly new venture for me (well I've been operating for a couple of years), and the online shop is in it's infancy really (less than a year). So it is a very sweet feeling to know that so many ladies are enjoying my block designs. I think I'm dreaming it up sometimes!
So Lucy Boston Block 7 has been hatched, cut, kitted, and is ready to roll.......hope you like.......
As usual the block with fabric, papers and photos is $12,
and type 'Block 7' in the coupon code to get FREE SHIPPING.
If you'd like any extra vintage cream background fabric for your outer rows, I can slip some in for a mere $1.40  postage. Simply email me and I'll send you a paypal invoice, that way you'll bypass the flat-rate shipping. ( I can do the same with the Honeycomb Fussy Cutting Viewer too)
Due to the increasing number of ladies wishing to join in the Lucy Boston fun, block 5 is sold out, and other blocks have limited supply. This will not adversely affect the quilts of the newcomers who have joined and were unable to receive block 5 as there will be many blocks to follow to fill its place.
As there is such a demand, if you have asked me to add you to my list to ensure there is a block held for you each time, I will hold your block until the next block is released and then I'll presume you are no longer interested in the blocks and make the block available to someone on the waiting list. So just email me if you still want the block and for some reason eg holidays etc you will be unable to order it.
Also for the girls doing the Lucy Boston blocks, the new Honeycomb Fussy Cutting Viewer certainly does help when positioning the template for fussy cutting. At only $8, these are a great tool to have.

I position the viewer, trace the inside edge of the viewer with the Sewline Air Erasable pen (my favourite marking tool), and when the viewer is removed, I can see exactly where to place the template. This makes creating identical cuts a breeze.

Also available for Hexagons, Eight Pointed Stars, Jewels, and Kites. See them all here.

The Karen K Buckley Scissors have been very popular and the feedback on these is amazing.

I have re-stocked and now have the medium sized scissors in stock to complete the collection.

These are $36 a pair, and feature the micro-serrated cutting edge as do all these fantastic Karen K Buckley scissors.

See the full range of these Karen K Buckley scissors here.

Believe me, once you've tried them you'll know what everyone is on about!. I was hand cutting clamshells yesterday using the large scissors and I layered and cut 6 at a time with ease, and without the fabric sliding a bit....amazing.

Large $39.50......purple
Medium $36........light blue
Small $
Small Curved $
I am unpacking some new lovely fabric, and still quilting my new quilt which I hope to reveal very I'll see you all soon with some new loveliness.
Oh, and if you're in my area on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23nd May, I will be setting up my beautiful shop at the Lismore Quilters Groups,  Quilt Show at the St Pauls Memorial Hall, Keen St, Lismore 10 to 6 each day. Please pop in and say "Hi".......and the weekend following that is Casino's Beef Week where I always have a stand at the Craft Show in the Civic Hall....May is very busy!!
