Just a quick note to you all regarding shipping costs.

Establishing the best and fairest way to apply shipping costs on the website has been one of the trickiest issues in setting up the online shop. Australia Post has a method for online shops to use but it has its flaws and I felt it applied too much $ per order, accumulating items together......

So I set the shipping to $6.50 flat-rate, reflecting an amount close to the 500g parcel rate of $7.45.
Often this works in the customer's favour, but sometimes I feel it may apply too great a rate for individual items/ small items. A few customers will email me and ask me to calculate shipping especially for their order and in that case I can send them a personalised paypal invoice which reflects the actual costs of the postage, and their goodies.

So.... for instance, if you were thinking you'd like a pair of those lovely KK Buckley scissors, they are flat enough to be sent as a letter rate, so if you email me, I'll sort it out at a much more affordable rate for you.
In fact the large pair will only cost about $2.10 to post........

Anything flatter can often go as a letter rate.

The fussy cutting viwers from yesterday's newsletter are another perfect example.......

I am more than happy to attend to your order in this manner.

Same applies for overseas customers......Just last night I sorted an order out to NZ......just email me your wish list, I'll calculate postage and send you a paypal invoice.

Also, a note about the Lucy Boston Blocks.......these are proving very popular so if you are making this lovely quilt, please don't delay in ordering your block. I'd hate for you to miss out. A few ladies still haven't jumped online to gather up their block 5, and now there's block 6.....
