I do hope you all enjoyed a lovely Christmas, and have had a great start to 2015.

I have started the year with some serious sewing, trying to get a few new patterns finalised. Not much to show yet, a few snippets below, but keep an eye out, they won't be far off!

I quickly fell in love with a lovely fabric range called Romancing the Past, designed by Sue Daley, another of our Aussie girls, and just had to start a quilt right away.

Just look at how beautiful it is.............
.....and this is the result of my 'playing' so far.......just a little sneek peek.......

I added a few extra fabrics to my Romancing the Past bundle. I love a splash of purple. This lovely purple is from the new Atelier fabric.
Somehow, there's nothing more alluring than a stack of English paper pieced shapes all ready to sew!

I have cut some fat 8th ($35) and fat quarter ($70) bundles from these yummies. There are 13 fabrics in each bundle. Pop on over to the shop here to check them out.
Also new in the fabric line is Hearts Content, a really lovely range by Laundry Basket Quilts for Moda. Beautiful florals and dots in my favourite colours of reds, browns, teales, mustards and creams. Perfect for projects needing that olde worlde charm.

Some of these lovelies have jumped into a new quilt in progress too.

Here's a little peep at that one......

But wait there's more!!!.....

I also have some Atelier, by 3 sisters for Moda.

This teams beautifully with Hearts Content, and the purple looks great with the Romancing the Past salmon pinks.
I'm heading into my sewing room now to spend some time on the next Lucy Boston block, so stay tuned for that real soon!

I hope you're finding some sewing time. We are planning a few trips to the beach in the coming weeks as the 14 year old needs to try out a surfboard. I think the beach is as good a place as any to sew don't you? Can't imagine myself on the board!!...haha....

So please keep visiting, don't hesitate to contact me if you require any assistance, and continue to place your orders as the shop is up and running all through the holidays, just might be a delay for a day or two while I sun-up on the beach a little!....

Happy sewing .......Sandy
