Shirtings &  linens.....and more beautiful fabric......

If you know me, you'll know I absolutely looove texture. I have always sold a variety of linens and linen blends, so when a few new ones arrived this week, I thought it was time to pop them all on the website.
Just check out the crochet pattern on the linen/cotton blend from Rosalie Dekker's new Cotton Forest range! I have a few ideas for this one...lol... Of course it's even nicer 'in the real'.....it's so hard to get realistic images that capture the texture and show the 'slubby' bits.

All of these fabrics would be perfect for stitcheries, and with the Sandy's favourite fabric stabiliser adhered to the back, you would have a beautiful stitchery base to support even stitches, despite the more open weave of the fabrics.

If you're like me, motivation sometimes comes unexpectedly and I begin totally unplanned projects 'on a whim'!!......sound familiar?......well that's where a selection of stitchery/background fabrics in your stash is handy.....it's also nice to choose a different background rather than always going with the 'old faithful' because that's all you have on hand....
Another 'must-have' for me in my stash, is a variety of shirting fabrics.
Check out what jumped out of a box here this week.............
I am sure your stash will love 8 x 0.25 cm cuts from these and other shirtings in store? Check out the Shirtings Fabric bundle here.

I just love the depth that using shirting fabrics as backgrounds, adds to reproduction style quilts.
A selection of these small print fabrics are perfect to have on hand for English Paper Piecing too!
....and then sometimes it's not about stashbuilding, but just falling in love!!
Recently arrived in store....is Cloverdale House, a stunning first range by our own Australian, Di Ford-Hall.....and it's a stunner.....
I've been oggling these fabrics for a couple of weeks now......thought I'd better share my love...lol..

Of course if you have fallen in love too and need to have some of these beauties to play with, you can buy a Fat 8th bundle, or a Fat Quarter bundle, or just pick what takes your fancy from the fabrics online, choosing a few fat quarters, here.
I hope you're having a productive weekend.
For my local Tuesday girls, and anyone who would like to join me to sew together, we are starting our 2016 Tuesday sewing days this week......you can read about these days here......we'd love to see you for a casual day of sewing, chatting, laughing, sharing...you know all those girly things that keep us sane...oh and sewing too!...did I mention that!!...lol

Happy sewing

Sandy
Oh and please be reminded that if you wish to make a small purchase and would like me to manually calculate the postage (sometimes the $7.50 flat-rate postage seems excessive for smaller, lighter items), then simple email me and I can give you a price and forward a paypal invoice to you....it's really very easy......Postage is one of the trickiest things to navigate with a website, and I do want it to be fair for everyone.
