Move over husbands........the dashing new French General is in town.....and I'm in looove!!!
Yes....the beautiful new fabric range by French General.....Le Marais with it's tones of red, blue, cream, brown and taupe arrived this week..
I have been busy cutting some fat quarters, fat eighths, and new mini packs. Check out the new Le Marais range here.

Being totally passionate about English Paper Piecing, I have discovered that fabric strips from 3" to 5" wide are perfect for template cutting, especially when you can score a small amount of each fabric in a range. So.....let me introduce my new mini packs

There are a total of 5 mini packs to complete the whole Le Marais fabric range …..Red, Taupe, Cream, Brown and Blue

Each pack contains 8 different 5″ x 21″ fabric strips of the stated colourway

Absolutely perfect for those hand pieced projects

At $13 each, you can choose your favourite colourway or pick up all 5 and have the entire Le Marias range.

Check them out here

I have had some lovely feedback about the Old Time Kaleidoscope blocks. Several ladies have already pieced their first blocks and loved the process. I had lots of smiles on hearing their joy.
I am working in fast speed mode at present aiming to tick things off my list to free up a week for an exciting upcoming trip. I am thrilled to let you all know I will soon be more up-to-speed with all the latest in the patchwork and quilting industry as the Shiralee Stitches team is heading to Melbourne to the AQM (Australian Quilt Market).
It is my aim to always offer you, my loyal customers and followers, the latest in tools, supplies, fabrics and techniques current in the marketplace. So I decided to take the plunge and head to the best place to find out the latest.

For those not "in the know", the AQM is the annual wholesale trade event for the patchwork & quilting market.......and I keep pinching myself to make sure I'm not dreaming as I plan my trip.
Flights are booked, accommodation sorted, AQM lectures decided, some sightseeing planned, and it wouldn't be a trip to Melbourne without some restaurants picked now would it? Oh and did I tell you it's one of those '0' birthdays for me whilst I'm there! Woo Hoo.

But, don't worry, Lucy Boston girls, as I plan to be back before I leave with your next block.....so I better not waffle-on any longer as there's lots to do......

Happy sewing everyone

Sandy
