Hi <<First Name>>,

So hard to believe it's the end of September.  Summer flew by.  We dropped our youngest off at college for her freshman year two weeks ago and are adjusting to being empty nesters.  If any of my readers have tips for me, PLEASE send them along!

I'm excited to announce that I will be adding a vintage poster page to my blog in October.  I fell in love with vintage posters about 15 years ago.  My husband and I were in Paris, walking by a tiny art gallery on the Left Bank.  In the window was a brilliant green poster with a wonderful woman in a bird hat.  We walked into the gallery and back out with this lady tucked under our arm.  She was the start of our collection.

My favorite poster period is the mid-1940s through the mid-1960s.  Bold colors, sophisticated illustrations and whimsical characters are the trademark of this time. Posters are great for home design and can be a reasonable alternative to other forms of artwork.  I've found some wonderful posters that I will have for sale on my blog in October, you can find them under the new Vintage Posters tab.

Happy Fall!

Posters As Artwork

I love using vintage posters as artwork.  They are reasonably priced, add color to a space and can also remind you of a favorite trip or destination!

Thanks for reading
