4 PRAYER REQUESTS
Burkina Faso training trip: From April 10‐15, Phil traveled to Burkina Faso to begin training trainers—laying the foundation for a national training program. Please pray for strength, wisdom, and a strong reception, as these trainers now spread out across the country and begin training children’s workers.
Housing situation: We have had some legal issues with the rental house we are currently in. We will be moving into a mission‐owned house in a few months, but in the meantime, please pray for a resolution with the old house.
Basecamp: This term, we are participating in an Africa‐wide initiative to help potential new missionaries investigate their call and ministry in Africa. We will be mentoring and directly hosting those who want to experience children’s ministry in Africa for themselves. We need a lot of prayer in this area! There are a lot of details to be worked out and a lot of uncertainties. We have stepped out in faith, in response to the Lord, and we need Him to show us how to best accomplish this goal.
New opportunities: Please pray for all the upcoming ministry opportunities. In coming months, we will be hosting short‐term ministry teams, developing a new outreach program that ties clean water/ health issues to children’s ministry, and investigating the possibility of helping children’s ministry in The Gambia. We need wisdom!

3 BLESSINGS
A new home to live in: At the same time we were facing legal issues with our rental home, one of the missions‐owned homes became available to us. This is a huge blessing! Not only have we lived in this house before, (so it feels like home) but we were also blessed with the opportunity to renovate it, a job that hasn’t
been done in 30 plus years.
Upcoming time with family: In May, we will have the opportunity to spend a few weeks with our children.
Dad’s health: Thank you for your prayers for Phil’s dad. About a month ago, he underwent emergency six‐
time bypass surgery. He seems to be recovering and doing well.

2 PERSONAL NOTES
2 Graduations: In May, Robin will graduate from SAGU with her bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. She plans on going directly into a master’s program in August. Our daughter Grace also graduates. She is at Southwest Baptist University and will graduate with a B.S in Biology.
And a Wedding: And finally, join with us in celebrating our daughter Grace’s marriage to Timothy Gann, on May 27th in Springfield, MO!
