E-NEWS FOR THE WEEK OF June 9, 2019
Pentecost Sunday is Global Missions Sunday
We hear them telling in our own tongues the mighty works of God.
(Acts 2:11)
Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” John 20:21

As a parish we have a very active ministry throughout the globe and this Pentecost we are going to highlight our call to Global Missions. This Sunday we will hear updates from some of our Global Partners, we will remember them in our prayers and we will have a special Missions lunch of Rice and Beans after the service. ( the only meal some of them have once a day).

Become a part of Global Missions ministry and help us love, pray, support and sometime send teams to work with our partners. As you grab your rice and beans in the Bell Tower, members of our Global Missions team will be around to answer any questions you may have and to collect the Global Mission interest card you can fill out from the Sunday bulletin.

O God, who created all people in your image, we thank you for the wonderful diversity of races and cultures in this world. Enrich our lives by ever-widening circles of fellowship, and show us your presence in those who differ most from us, until our knowledge of your love is made perfect in our love for all your children; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. (BCP, p. 840)
The picture above is from Pentecost Sunday last year. Once again this year, JoAnn Dabbs is creating a mission minded Pentecost for our Narthex. We can't wait to see her decorations on Sunday. Thank you JoAnn!
Grilling for a Mission

This Father's Day, we have a great opportunity to honor our dads and support Global Missions too!
We know dads love to GRILL, especially on a shinny new grill, so on June 16th, we will have a drawing for this new grill for one of our special dads.

A $25.00 donation for Global Missions gets your dad one entry in the drawing. Get as many entries as you would like for your favorite dad to have a smoking good chance to win this beautiful grill. Look for entry forms by the grill this Sunday.

The winner does not have to be present to win or even be a parishioner, so pick up some extra entry form and help us raise money for Global Missions by asking friends and neighbors to donate for a chance to win this awsome grill!
