College Town Schools

UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN

The University of Michigan, a public research institution is located in Ann Arbor, a town known for its lively arts scene, beautiful parks, and over 300 restaurants. U-M’s "Diag" is the heart of campus, the original spot where it all began back in 1837 when the University relocated from Detroit.

NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY

Consistently ranked as one of the top schools in the country, Northwestern’s scenic campus is located on Lake Michigan in the city of Evanston. Many feel it’s the ideal combination of college town meets city living, but be warned it helps if you don’t mind some cold weather. Chicago is affectionately known as the Windy City, and the gusts coming off the Lake can be quite fierce. While Evanston has everything, you need right there, the city of Chicago is a mere 14 miles away—a short “L” ride or a 30-minute drive depending on the traffic.

VANDERBILT UNIVERSITY

Vanderbilt University located in Nashville, Tennessee is a hot school right now and for good reason. Known for its rigorous academics, vibrant Greek life, and a beautiful campus, Vanderbilt is consistently ranked as one of our nation’s top schools.  Founded in 1873 by Cornelius Vanderbilt, the private research university is home to just under 6,900 undergraduates. Located just over a mile from downtown Nashville, the city long known as “Music City, U.S.A.”, is crafting a new image, emerging as a hip, young, creative metropolis with a dynamic food scene.
