“Because you are precious in my sight, and honored, and I love you” Isaiah 43:4a
These words of Isaiah are a first-person address from God; these words come from God’s mouth to our ears. God is saying to each and every one of us: “You are precious to me, you are honored, I love you.” Read that statement again. Let it be close to your heart. Repeat it throughout your day – you are precious and you are loved.
Our prayer for you this week is that you discover these words and that they discover you, wherever you are. Maybe you are caught in the frenzy of getting back to work or school after Christmas break. Perhaps you are committing to a new intention for the year. Or you may find yourself rejoicing in a new project. Wherever you are, remember whose you are – precious in the eyes of the Creator. It is all too easy to forget that we are loved just the way we are – mistakes and all.
And perhaps take a moment to send that message on to another person. Show a neighbor your love, remind a family member that they are precious, give genuine thanks for the coworker who gets on your nerves, lift up a friend’s unique gifts. After all, some statements, like “I love you,” bear repeating.
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
Grace and Peace,
Pastor Sarah and Pastor Veronica
We look forward to meeting everyone. If you would like to have a meeting or pastoral care visit, please contact the church office to make an appointment, or directly contact one of the pastors using the information below.
We are planning to kick off a new Bible Study series during the next couple of weeks, and want to know what days/times are best for the majority of people. We heard from folks during last Sunday’s coffee hour, but we wanted to provide the opportunity to hear from others in our community. The link below will take you to a quick online poll, where you can indicate which times of day work best for you.
We are blessed with a diverse congregation, which means that there is no day or time that will work for everyone. We are planning to switch up the meeting time for each Bible Study unit, so that people who are unable to attend our upcoming study might be able to attend a future series.
If you have further thoughts on a Bible Study theme or question, feel free to reach out to either of us! We look forward to learning and growing together as a church community.
