A Word from the Pastors
Members and Friends of Hyde Park Union Church!

There's a new energy at Hyde Park Union Church! And while, yes, we your new pastors have lots of energy, we would not dare take credit for the new energy in the church! The Holy Spirit is bringing a fresh wind through HPUC! This fresh wind is felt through your presence, your smiles, your encouragement, your ideas, and the way you share with us the gifts that are "hidden" at the moment (at least from us) among your fellow members of this wonderful household of faith!

Your commitment to Hyde Park Union Church and to the work of Jesus Christ is SO commendable! Thank you for sharing so much with us in our first 4 weeks! We're on week 5! Can you believe it? Time is moving swiftly!

We look forward to seeing how God continues to work through everyone of us to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ (which is ultimately all about LOVE) and to continue to build our faith community.

This Sunday is a special Sunday, as it is the Sunday we will celebrate the life and legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and all that his life and ministry accomplished in the world! Please invite your friends and family out this Sunday to worship with us at 10 am, as your pastors PREACH TOGETHER on a theme of Dr. King, "The Fierce Urgency of Now!" There will be a few special additions to the worship program by our children, a soloist among us, and a visiting artist!

You don't want to miss it! We pray for God's Spirit and the spirit of Dr. King to bless us on this Sunday!

Your Pastors,
Pastor V and Pastor Sarah

Bible Study Poll

We are planning to kick off a new Bible Study series during the next couple of weeks, and want to know what days/times are best for the majority of people. We heard from folks during last Sunday’s coffee hour, but we wanted to provide the opportunity to hear from others in our community. The link below will take you to a quick online poll, where you can indicate which times of day work best for you.

https://doodle.com/poll/xc6yrvdsz33gb8pd

We are blessed with a diverse congregation, which means that there is no day or time that will work for everyone. We are planning to switch up the meeting time for each Bible Study unit, so that people who are unable to attend our upcoming study might be able to attend a future series.

If you have further thoughts on a Bible Study theme or question, feel free to reach out to either of us! We look forward to learning and growing together as a church community.
