Merry Christmas!
For unto us a Child is born; to us a Son is given

Christmas Eve: Monday, December 24
5pm refreshments and get-to-know-you time with the pastors
6pm Candlelight Service

Welcome to our new co-pastors, Veronica Johnson and Sarah Lusche!

A note from the pastors:

We are thrilled to officially start our co-pastorate with Hyde Park Union this week! Thank you for welcoming us to the church; we greatly look forward to all that we will share and build together as a community. There will be several opportunities ahead to get to know one another, but we hope to worship with many of you over the Christmas holidays. If you are able, please join us in worship for our first Sunday service on the 23rd and at our Christmas Eve service. Bring along family, friends, and neighbors as we rejoice in the coming of Immanuel, God-with-us!

Contact Information:

We look forward to meeting everyone. If you would like to have a meeting or pastoral care visit, please contact the church office to make an appointment, or directly contact one of the pastors using the information below.

Our partners organizations could use your help this season
The Hyde Park Refugee Project, a program of the Hyde Park-Kenwood Interfaith Council, seeks support for its work with the children of Middle Eastern refugees in Hyde Park.

HPRP says, though the kids they tutor have made wonderful progress in school, as they get older they are expected to have computers to complete homework and take advantage of online enrichment. HPRP hopes to raise $5,000 to make Chromebook computers available to their middle and high school students. Any donation would help ensure a successful future for these bright, determined children.

Tax deductible donations can be sent to the

We remember those facing health problems: Noema, who injured her hand, Bonnie's adopted mother who is in hospice, Sabine's friend who is suffering with a tumor, Jennifer Adams' brother, Will; Alice Mulberry's Daughter-in-law Jennifer who is battling cancer; Louise's Son; and Larry's brother-in-law.  Our prayers are also with their loved ones and caregivers.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Tony Montag.

And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
