What did Plant-Based Pittsburgh do in 2020?
A look at the year's activities ...
Meetings: We started the year with our usual in-person meetings at 4 different Pgh-area locations, plus a monthly cooking class. Then, Covid. We regrouped, and in May began twice monthly Zoom meetings—an educational presentation + a cooking demonstration—open to all.
Upside: The virtual events have attracted an ever-widening & enthusiastic audience. We created a YouTube channel to showcase all.
Downside: Missing the comraderie of in-person gatherings! (We'll start up post-Covid.)
Community Outreach
* Food drives for two local pantries, including ingredients, kits, recipes, & sampling
