With the latest version of GISconnector for Excel especially the usability has been improved. Licensing information has been extended, a new protocol output and improved error messages have been added. Additionally there have been stability and performance optimizations. Furthermore a Quick Tutorial has been established.

GISconnector for Excel Tutorials
In version 2.1 we added GISconnector Tutorials. Currently "Quick Tutorial Starter" is available, which helps the user getting started with the GIsconnector for Excel. Learn:
to transfer data between Excel and ArcGIS
to build a dynamic symbology based on an Excel formula
to create a filter in Excel and send it to ArcMap
and to use classic GIS functionality like select-by-location in Excel.
Please note: The latest version of the GISconnector does not support ArcGIS 10.4 yet.
