Death of Her Majesty the Queen

We are all deeply saddened to hear of the death of Her Majesty, The Queen. Speaking on behalf of people in the district, elected members and staff, we at Blaby District Council would like to extend our sincere sympathy to all members of the Royal family at this truly upsetting time.

Being the longest-reigning monarch in British history we will be honoured to observe the Royal Mourning period and therefore will not be undertaking any social engagements until after Her Majesty’s funeral. And, as a mark of respect, during the mourning period, the flag in the grounds of Blaby District Council will fly at half-mast.

Cllr Iain Hewson
Chairman of Blaby District Council
