Creativity and Mindfulness Corner
Save the date! SMCOE's 3rd Annual Art Institute is Wednesday, February 3, 2021. This virtual professional development opportunity will be rich with opportunities to practice creativity and its connection to the vital work we all are leading for in this trying time. This institute is open to all K-12 teachers and administrators and will include presenters from Stanford Live, Young Audiences of Northern CA, KQED, and the San Mateo County Arts Commission (guest presenter from Alabama - the quilters of Gee's Bend). The workshops will highlight key topics for student engagement including all five arts disciplines, diversity, equity & inclusion, social emotional learning (SEL), and distance learning. Please join us for this exciting day of learning and share this opportunity with others!

The English Learner Roadmap Professional Development for Teachers and Administrators

The English Learner Roadmap teacher strand workshop series from January to April 2021 focuses on classroom practices, teaching and learning, and specific instructional strategies that align with the California English Learner Roadmap. Learn more and register here.
