NEWS ENDE 2016

Dear INDI Friends,

2016 was a blast! It feels like we toured half the world with our films.
Festivals, premieres, business talks and heartfelt moments structured our year and we wanna thank all of you for being part of it.

A special thank you to Martin, Chad and everyone at Lichtblick for „Morris from America“. For the unforgettable moments shared and a once off experience! Its not every day one has the pleasure of being able to repay funding grants!!

Another special thanks, to Pawel, Rafal and Centrala, with „Monk of the Sea“ which took us to the wonderful festival in Locarno.

Not forgetting our pride and joy, Nelly’s Adventure! Thank you Dominik Wessely for being so relentless and so committed in your roll as Director. Many thanks to our co-producers, the whole team of professionals behind the scenes and last but not least a massive thank you to our main and wonderful actress Flora Li Thiemann!

We wish to thank all „our“ directors for their films/ documentaries/ projects in development throughout the year:
*Barbara Miller
*David Bernet
*Diana Naecke
*Evelyn Schels
*Isabella Sandri
*Monika Grassl
*Marisa Middleton
*Marita Stocker
*Martin Busker

*Tomasz Rudzik
Along with their amazing teams – writers, editors, DOPs, sound specialists, protagonists and all the other people you need to make a good film!

We have a very special thank you for SONIA OTTO for her exceptional commitment and support for the last 15 years with INDI Film. Sonia set off in August for a well-deserved sabbatical period. Sonia, don’t worry we have you covered but please, hurry back to us! Until then, enjoy every minute of it and keep posting those wonderful photos!

Traditionally the New Year will start in Saarbrücken where this year we proudly announce the premiere of „Die Geister, die mich riefen“ - a documentary from Diana Näcke.

The film is about a unique character Engin, a German of Turkish origin, who hasn’t been “home“ to Turkey for more than 20 years.  Legal matters cause him to take the long tedious journey back by car accompanied by director Diana.  Revealing what awaits them makes for suspenseful eye awakening viewing.
Check it out, in January at the Max-Ophüls Festival in Saarbrücken:

Screening Dates:
Thursday 26th of January / 7.45 pm / CineStar 8
Friday 27th of January / 5.30 pm / CineStar 2
Saturday 28th of January / 12.30 pm / CineStar 8
Sunday 29th of January / 11.15 pm / CineStar 5
For those of you who are lucky enough to be in in Saarbrücken and haven’t yet seen it, Nelly’s Adventure will also be available for viewing!!
Saturday, 28th of January / 3pm.
If you miss Saarbrücken, you may head to Seattle or Bangladesh.  Nelly’s Adventure is still in popular demand and will be doing the rounds for quite some time yet.  Which of course makes us very happy indeed! But for all those who just prefer to watch a good movie in the comfort of their own home, you may pre-order Nelly's Adventure on DVD/ Blu Ray – a perfect Easter gift, don’t you think.

So dear friends, we would like to take this opportunity to send out our very best wishes to you and yours and hope you get to put your feet up and watch a good movie (see above!!) during the holiday season.

Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year from all
of us at INDI FILM.
