County Saves $1.5M on Purchased Goods, Services 

SLO County's Purchasing Team
Like any well-functioning organization, the County of San Luis Obispo needs to purchase goods, services and supplies to operate effectively. Last fiscal year, the County's purchasing team saved $1.5 million in purchasing costs by developing effective negotiating strategies and procurement initiatives. These efforts earned the County two prestigious national awards this year. Read more

SLO City Library
County Libraries will temporarily close the San Luis Obispo branch for a renovation from Oct. 1 to January 2017. Public service will expand to three floors from the current two-floor model. Read more

Preliminary Test Results: 
No TCE Detected at Airport

Preliminary test results indicate that all 94 soil-gas samples taken at the SLO County Regional Airport have tested negative for TCE. Read more
