New Tax Bills Cut Costs

New County tax bills encouraged more taxpayers to make their payments earlier than usual at the end of 2015, resulting in more cash that was available earlier for schools and County departments. Late tax payments were the lowest on record, saving taxpayers expensive penalties.

Healthy Communities, a subcommittee of HEAL SLO, the County's obesity-prevention coalition, received a Green Community Partner Award by the Central Coast Green Building Council in December.
