30 July 2021

Dear <<First Name>>.

You have no doubt heard that COVID-19 cases continue to increase in Sydney with many people having been infectious in the community for at least some time.

There have also been more recorded deaths due to COVID-19. I extend my condolences to the family and friends of those who have passed away.

The health advice is clear; please get vaccinated, wear a mask, and stay home. In our local area, you may not go more than 5 kilometres from your house and you must wear a mask when you leave home.

Please follow the health advice while we face another four weeks of lockdown.

We will get through this.

Kind Regards

Council Elections Postponed

The NSW Government announced over the weekend that the 2021 Council Elections have been postponed until December 4 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and current Public Health Orders impacting Greater Sydney.

Donatelife Week

DonateLife are holding a Great Registration Race this DonateLife Week to encourage 100,000 more Australians to sign on as registered organ and tissue donors until the end of August.

One in three Australians are registered donors despite almost 70 per cent of Australians believing that registering for organ and tissue donation is important.

However, organ donation is a rare event. Only around 2 per cent of people who die in Australian hospitals meet the criteria required to be an organ donor. That’s almost 1,300 lives.

My family have had the discussion and have all nominated as donors. It takes less than one minute, but the most important thing is that people know your wish.

You can register as an organ and tissue donor here:

Early Learning Matters Week

This week is Early Learning Matters Week.

From 26 – 30 July 2021, early childhood educators, parents, carers and community leaders around Australia will come together to raise awareness and understanding of the importance of early learning.

Now more than ever, we should recognise the critical role of early education and care and the amazing workers that have such an important impact on our children's first five years of life.
