Werriwa eNewsletter

18 December 2020

Dear <<First Name>>

Welcome to the latest edition of the Werriwa eNewsletter.

As we head towards Christmas we have the chance to spend some quality time with family and friends. For many of us, it will be the first opportunity since the pandemic that we have been able to spend time with the people we love, especially those from interstate.

I would like to take this opportunity to recognise those who’ve done our community proud over the last year.

Thank you to all our emergency staff, nurses, doctors, ambulance, firies, police, educators and aged care workers who have kept us safe and supported our children, elderly and sick this year. To all the volunteers who have made phone calls, provided food to those in need and thank you for what you do every day to support our community.

I wish everyone all the best for the Festive Season. Please keep safe and enjoy the holidays. I look forward to working with our community in 2021.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Kind Regards

COVID-19 Testing

A new cluster has emerged in the Northern Beaches with 28 people now confirmed to have contracted the virus.

One of these cases visited Penrith RSL Club on Sunday 13 December. We must be aware that the virus is in the community and to follow the latest Public Health Orders, especially when it is holiday time. We have to keep the virus under control.

If you have any COVID-19 symptoms, no matter how mild, continue to get tested immediately and self-isolate until a negative test result is received.

Australian Red Cross Blood Donation

Anytime is a good time to donate blood to those that need it. One third of blood donations help treat people with cancer. Every blood donation has the potential to save three lives.

People of all walks of life need blood products. Some need it to get them through a serious event in their lives, like cancer or a difficult pregnancy. Others have medical conditions which mean they need blood products regularly to stay alive or be healthy.
