06 November 2020

Dear <<First Name>>

I return to Canberra next week for a sitting of Federal Parliament.

One of the big topics for debate will be the Government's recently announced Integrity Commission. Unfortunately, this is a totally compromised model clearly designed to sweep corruption under the carpet, rather than stop it.

Disappointingly, the opposition was not consulted and the model will not hold the Morrison Government accountable for its multiple scandals.

It's certainly been an eventful week across the Pacific with the United States election. It is a timely reminder to reflect on the strength and integrity of our Australian Electoral Commission. If you need to enrol to vote or update your enrolment details, you can do so here.

As always, if you have anything to raise please contact my office by calling on (02) 8783 0977 or email

Kind Regards

COVID-19 Update

Earlier in the week I gave an update to Werriwa on the status of COVID-19 in the community and the steps to take to minimise infection. You can find this below.

It is crucial to monitor for signs of the virus and get tested even if there is the slightest hint of symptoms.

Remember if I can help you with anything please get in contact with my office.

See below for all of the latest COVID-19 information:

Labor's Cheaper Childcare Policy

Last month Labor detailed its Cheaper Childcare Policy to address the continuing issues for parents seeking childcare in Australia.

Labor’s policy will assist families by removing the barriers that hold back second income earners. We will scrap the $10,560 childcare subsidy cap, lift the maximum childcare subsidy rate to 90 per cent and increase childcare subsidy rates for a large majority of Australian families.

These reforms will see more than a million Australian families better off. We will make it easier for mums, children and working families to get ahead. No family will be worse off.

You can support Labor’s childcare policy by signing my petition here.

National NAIDOC Week starts this Sunday, 8 November.

NAIDOC Week is celebrated each year to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It is a great opportunity to participate in a range of activities and to support your local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community.

The theme this year is Always Was, Always Will Be and it recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years.

NAIDOC 2020 invites all Australians to embrace the true history of this country, a history that dates back thousands of generations.

Liverpool City Council Call for Musicians

Liverpool City Council is seeking expressions of interest from emerging and established performers and entertainers who would like to showcase their talents in Liverpool during November to December.

Each performer will get to showcase their talent in the Liverpool CBD in a busker style showcase. We will be working and implementing COVID safe practices throughout these performances and giving the community a showcase of our local talent.
