Our new school resource officer (SRO), Joe Mogollon will be on hand to answer any questions about his role in supporting our students.
Tim Haase will be joining us to do a presentation on Distracted Driving.  He has been sharing  this timely and eye-opening presentation to local communities and we are lucky to have him sharing must know information at our next meeting. 

Election Day Bake Sale!
 HELP WANTED: Bakers and Volunteers for         the Election Day Bake Sale. Voter turnout will   hopefully be great! We need as many bakers as we can get. This is an IMPORTANT fundraiser for the PTO!

Weston Education Foundation Presents: Trivia Night
Saturday, November 5th, 6:30 pm; Norfield Parish Hall, 64 Norfield Road Hosted by John Seigenthaler (Former news anchor at Al Jazeera America, NBC and MSNBC) Dinner by AMG Catering (BYOB) Great food and great fun for a great cause! $125 per person—everyone is welcome to this community event in support of our schools. Space is limited and tables sell out quickly!

Important Voting Information from Weston Registrars of Voters 
November 1 is the last day for in-person and mail-in voter registration for the upcoming election.  On Nov 1, Registrars of Voters will hold a registration session at Town Hall from 9am to 8pm.  To register on-line and for additional voting information, visit the Town of Weston website at:
Absentee Ballots are available thru November 7 at the Town Clerks Office, Monday – Friday 9am – 4:30pm, also there will be extended hours on Thursday, November 3 until 8:30pm and on Saturday, November 5, 9am – noon.   For an absentee ballot application and requirements regarding absentee voting, please visit the Town of Weston Website: Registrar of Voters.
Election Day is November 8th, the polls will be open at Weston Middle School Gymnasium from 6am until 8pm.  Voter parking and entrance are located at the back of the school.

Register Now For Weston FC Premier Boys’ High-School Aged Team  
The Weston Soccer Club is pleased to announce that registration is open for try-outs for the high-school aged 2016-2017 Winter/Spring Weston FC Boys’ Premier Club team. Tryouts will be held on Saturday, November 5th from 1:00pm – 3:00 pm on the Weston Stadium (football) Turf field. Rain date is Sunday, November 6th at the same time and field.  Players should wear a white t-shirt and bring shin guards, water, soccer shoes and a ball.  Players must pre-register online to attend tryouts.  For additional details and to register for the tryouts, go to, and click on "Register Online."

The next session of The Next Street Driver’s Education program begins on Tuesday, November 15th. Class runs on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:00 -9:00 p.m.

Submissions will be printed as is; please proof read content.  The Word publishes the 1st Monday or Tuesday of each month. Submissions deadline is Wednesday prior for Monday publications and Thursday prior for Tuesday publications. Click here for publication schedule and submission deadlines. Information submitted after the deadline will be held and printed in the next available publication. Send submissions to The WHS PTO Word editor, Karen Kallins, at The Word contains information on the most recent WHS and PTO news.  It will be emailed to all registered WHS PTO members each month throughout the school year.  Back issues for the current school year can be found on the Weston PTO website under the WHS PTO tab.
