A MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE BOARD:

Thank you to everyone for helping us launch this year's IE Citizen Scholars! We are excited to expand IE's legacy of student engagement through research, professional development, and campus involvement this year. IE Citizens Scholars is a way for us to create a network among current and past IE interns to share ideas, career opportunities, and advice for post-undergraduate study. We have a number of events scheduled for this year that we welcome you to attend.  If you are interested in forming part of IE Citizen Scholars, contact us at IECSTexas@gmail.com.

ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT
Daniel Muñoz

Graduation Date: Spring 2014
Daniel Muñoz is currently a first-year doctoral student in MIT's Philosophy doctoral program. Daniel did the unimaginable: he was admitted to every graduate program to which he applied—including NYU, Harvard, Michigan, Yale, UNC, and Pittsburgh. Says Daniel: "Without IE, I would've been in way over my head; with it, I was in a great position to start my applications and adjust to life as a Ph.D. student. I'm still drawing from the lessons I learned from my time as a pre-graduate intern."
DID YOU KNOW?
Contracts for the spring 2015 IE Pre Grad Internship are now being accepted—and will until the 4th class day. In addition to reading directions on the IE web site regarding how to become a Pre Grad intern, interested students—at any stage in their academic career and in all UT programs—may wish to watch what prior interns have said about their experience on the IE YouTube channel. Please forward this to anyone interested.
