We hope that you enjoy being part of Birmingham Civic Society and all that we do to make Birmingham a better place for everyone. Though the past year may not have been as we expected, with the support and commitment of you, our members, committee members and supporters we continue to ensure our work can take place. If you haven’t seen it yet, have a read of our 2019-2020 Annual Review to see what your membership subs contribute to.
2021 may continue to look different, but together we can continue the important work that the Society has been undertaking for the last 102 years. Please do get in touch if you have any ideas you think the Society can or should be supporting or involved in.
We would like to thank three dedicated Trustees who stood down this year – Christine Cushing, Lorraine Francis and Isobel Wilson-Cleary. All have made an immeasurable contribution to the Society, and will be missed.
It is also with great sadness that the Society mourns the loss of Vice President and past Chairman Bruce Tanner DL, past Trustee Ross Bellamy and past Trustee Izzes Gayle. On behalf of the Society we send our thoughts at a difficult time to all friends and family.
I wish you all a safe and happy Christmas, and look forward to a time when we can see each outside of our Zoom windows once more.
Best wishes,
Amelia Ladbrook
Chairman
