Working together to make Birmingham a better place for everyone

Annual Leader's Breakfast with Councillor Brigid Jones

At last year’s Leader’s Breakfast, we were delighted to host Cllr. Brigid Jones, who outlined the Council's plans for the city, with transport and regeneration taking centre stage. One year on and the world feels very different, but we are grateful that Cllr. Jones will be speaking with us once again (this time online) at 9am on Friday 25th September.

Join us to hear Cllr. Jones reflect on how those plans have progressed and to give us an insight into the Council's priorities looking forward. Making Birmingham a better place for everyone is core to the Society's mission and so, as a member, we hope you'll take the opportunity to be part of this conversation and learn more about what is happening across the city.

There'll also be a chance to have your questions answered, so once you've registered, hit reply to this email and let us know what questions you would like answered.

2020 Renaissance Award nominations open

Every year, we celebrate Birmingham’s achievements in renovation and restoration.
Do you know of a building, structure or public space that was once derelict, vacant or under-used? Has it been brought back to life and completed between 1 January 2019 – 31 January 2020? If so, it may be eligible for our 2020 Renaissance Award! Find out more.

Talking trees

Summer is usually a relatively quiet time of the year for the Trees committee but with many people reminded of how important nature is for us, they've been talking trees even more than usual. Hear more from the Trees committee about what they've been up to this summer.
