2016 Pay Increases for System Administration Staff

I’m pleased to tell you that paychecks distributed today for employees paid biweekly and on July 29 for employees paid monthly will include a 1 percent across-the-board increase or $800, whichever is greater.
Fair and competitive pay for faculty and staff continues to be a priority at UT. Thanks to increased state appropriations and the commitment to closing salary gaps by each campus and institute, we are able to continue momentum. Satisfactory job performance is required for receiving the increase.
In addition to the across-the-board increase, the System Administration has allocated funds for an additional 2 percent pool to address market gaps and reward high performance, both of which are critical to achieving our compensation goals.
Merit and market increases will be paid in August, retroactive to July 1, and details about specific amounts will be communicated soon by supervisors.
