Successful Teacher Training
for Year 2 Project ReCharge Teachers
At the end of July, UNR and Envirolution successfully completed another round of professional development for teachers participating in Year 2 of Project ReCharge, an energy efficiency program for Northern Nevada middle and high schools funded by the National Science Foundation. Thank you to all who continue to make this program possible!
We are very excited to welcome 21 new teachers into Project ReCharge! They spent three days at UNR running through activities, like building wind turbines and windmills (pictured above), discussing the new Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), as well as what they can expect while participating in this exciting program. We cannot wait to report back to you all about the strides our Nevada teachers are making in the classroom to spark student interest in energy efficiency and save their schools in both energy and money associated with energy use. Stay tuned!
