I hope you and your family are staying safe in the face of Hurricane Dorian; we are currently predicted to get some extra rain here in NC but hopefully nothing too wild. I went on a fun little road trip sans husband with a friend & her two kiddos, it felt brave and stupid and we all had a lot of fun. The main impetus for the trip was seeing a really neat art exhibit that involved sewing! They see me sew household stuff all the time so it was fun to connect sewing to art and huge scale things as well.
I can't believe it is September! Are your Halloween decorations up yet? I want to dig out ours soon, I only have one Halloween sewing idea for this year aside from costumes, what about you?
I forgot to share last week but.. I was on a podcast! I am very used to being able to re-read and edit almost everything blog/business related that I put out into the world so it's a little nerve wracking to reflect on what I said or maybe said wrong or forgot to say, BUT, if you'd like to listen go check it out on the the I Can Make That: Conversations with Creatives podcast!

Fall means football for lots of people, but I'm here to tell you that I don't do sports. I'm here for the game food & snacks though!! I worked with Sulky to share this free pattern, it's an easy and fun craft to stitch up for yourself or any of your not-sporty friends, check out more details in the post.
