Hi!
I'm writing this newsletter a week ahead of time, because on the 28th (today!) I will be MADLY packing and cleaning and didn't want to forget. I've been cleaning my craft room in preparation for guests and keep getting distracted by things, does that happen to you!? I ended up with a big stack of designer quilting cotton that needs a new home, do you have a favorite spot to sell/buy? The Facebook b/s/t groups seem to have slowed down. Please let me know!

We will be driving, and driving, and driving soon, and then at national parks for almost 2 weeks, so my responses to emails may be slow! Now to decide what hand embroidery project to take, hmmm!

Stephanie

Interesting things from around the Internet:

  • How cute is this llama punch needle kit!! I added it to this post.
  • Fun little hexie earrings over at Crafty Staci.
  • This is a cool video about a designer dress & the hand sewing that went into it.
  • I love traveling and am intrigued by the idea of a sewing trip! Have you taken one like this?
  • This hexie table runner is so pretty!
  • " If we actually saw what happens to our old clothes, we might be more inclined to consider options besides dumping them in the garbage or in huge heaps on a charity’s doorstep. We might put more effort toward reusing, reselling, and swapping clothes and carefully disposing and donating the rest, so as not to overwhelm the systems and people tasked with dealing with our refuse. " Important article about clothes! Upcycle & refashion folks!
