Do you feel like you're in 'summer mode' (assuming that you're in the same hemisphere as me, that is! I know some of you aren't :) ) yet? I cut off a bunch of the kids' pants into shorts, bought a patio umbrella, and bought new sunscreen and bug spray. I'm ready!!
Summer seems to be the slowest time for my blog, with more visitors ramping back up as the holidays creep in for fall, but I'll keep sending weekly newsletters and new posts don't worry! If I haven't said lately, I appreciate you subscribing, reading, sharing and interacting with my work. I remember back when I only read blogs, the writers felt so ... removed and untouchable to me. But I'm always here, reading everything you say or send, and "yay!"-ing out loud when I get to see pictures of what you've sewn from my tutorials. Thank you for making this dream job my real job :)
PS- I just requested this sewing-related fiction book from my library - have you read it?

I love how these turned out!! A one-step kit makes it super easy, tie dye shoes feel like summer to me; see more pictures and the VIDEO (woohoo!) in the post, shared in collaboration with Amazon.
From the archives: If you're brainstorming fun things to do this summer with your kids why not make some DIY toys? My kids *love* projects like these, go check out all the different ones I included in the post.
Danielle sewed my sweet bandana bunny pattern with a matching baby gift, isn't it sweet!! See her instagram here - see the free pattern here and remember the link & password to download the file is at the top of every newsletter.
