Happy Monday and Happy Halloween, Wilkinson! Today is Day 3. Here's your weekly rundown of what's happening at the school.

Reminder: Halloween Costume Parade
If you are available TODAY at 1:00 pm, come to the playground area of the school to see the amazing creativity of Wilkinson students at our Halloween costume parade.

Students may wear their costumes to school provided they can see clearly and the costume doesn't pose a trip hazard. We know it's a special day, but please check with your child's teacher before sending any treats to class.

Health & Physical Education (HPE) Program
Fitness Club is back for students in grades 1-6. Monday to Thursday it will be held in conjunction with basketball and volleyball team practices, while Fridays will be more of an open gym. Please complete a participation form if your child would like to take part in Fitness Club.

Healthy Snack of the Week
This Week: Oranges (any kind)
Next Week: Bananas

Please visit Mr. Kasaval's website for regular updates on athletic programming at Wilkinson.

Junior Choir Dance Performance
The Junior Choir will be performing "Naughty" from the musical Matilda. Auditions for an accompanying dance routine are being held in Room 3 on Thursday, November 3 from 3:30-4:30 pm. See this letter for more information and a permission form. Please note: Auditions are open only to junior choir members.

  • Applications for Junior Extended French (Grade 4 start) must be completed online between January 9, 2017, and February 2, 2017.

Further information on French as a Second Language programs and the application process is available online at www.tdsb.on.ca/french.

Pizza Lunch on Friday
If your child signed up for the pizza lunch program, remember not to send a lunch to school on Friday, November 4th. Parent volunteers are always welcome!

Fall Fest: Missing Something?
Once again, thank you to everyone who took part in Fall Fest last week. As always, bakers who left containers at the school can pick them up from the counter area in Room 3. And if you're missing a sweater, a few were left behind after the festivities and have been put into the lost and found, located in the stairwell to the left of Room 3.

Movie Night: Equipment Request
Movie night is a fun time for all, but equipment challenges can put a damper on the festivities. To that end, we'd like to ask if anyone has a DVD player you are willing to donate to the parent council to ensure uninterrupted movie night screenings.

Please contact us if you are able to help. Thank you in advance for your support!
