The is the last book exchange week of the school year. As of Friday, all books are expected to be returned to the library. Please check your child’s backpack, room or the usual spots library books can be found in your home.
On May 9th, Wilkinson Library hosted illustrator, storyteller and graphic novelist, Tony Cliff, author of the Delilah Dirk series. Mr. Cliff met with grade 4 and 5 students to talk about the series, his illustrating, and the creative process. The visit was a part of TD Book Week. This year, 80 students in grades 4-6 joined this year’s Silver Birch Reading Program. Over 60 were eligible to cast a ballot for their favourite on voting day at the end of April. 58 of these avid readers attended the Festival of Trees on May 15th as part of the Silver Birch Program. The Festival is the culminating event of the 4-month reading program, and winners were announced in three separate Silver Birch award ceremonies. This year’s winners were …
