IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

Please participate in our survey on IMS strengths, challenges, celebrations and failures. Mid-Year Parent Survey
Teacher Schedule for Extended Learning (updated) in afternoons is HERE.
Update your contact information in ParentVue HERE. (Click on My Account, and update phone numbers). The school must be able to reach you. Ensure they have your current info!
Encourage your child to use iReady. Great progress is seen in students who engage in their My Path lessons. Aim for 30-45min/week.
SAFETY CONCERN: Students are not using crosswalks at the end of the day. Some are funning across the street to get in parents' cars. There are some impatient drivers who drive around the waiting lines. Please encourage/insist that your child use crosswalks!

IT'S TIME TO THINK ABOUT TAXES...AND TAX CREDITS!

One way you can always support your students and schools is through a tax credit contribution.

Arizona law allows taxpayers to receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit of up to $200 for individual filers and up to $400 for married filers.
Contributions made through April 15, 2021 can still be claimed on your 2020 state tax return or roll over to 2021.
Schools depend on tax credit contributions to fund programs and activities that the state and District cannot, such as:
- the arts
- athletics
- field trips
- tutoring
- enrichment
- college and career testing.

$35 until Feb 21, $40 until final deadline of March 12
Get your order in today -- please do not plan on purchasing one once the order comes in (books will only be for those who prepaid).

TITLE I STATUS STILL IN JEOPARDY!

Our percent of students who qualify for free and reduced has declined to a point that we could lose our Title I status.

These funds help pay for one of our counselors, our Instructional Specialist, our intervention teachers, supplies and professional development for teachers, and parent involvement activities.

Your application can be submitted online at Free and Reduced meal applications online.

If you qualify, your family not only receives support with breakfast and lunch, but also reduced fees for athletics and other extra-curricular needs.

Please use a computer -- not a phone -- to complete the application. (The website doesn't work smoothly on a phone...)

If you need help completing the application, please contact Leticia Pereda, our Community Specialist at lpereda@susd.org, or your child’s guidance counselor. Your help is greatly appreciated!
