Beginning Tuesday, January 19, 2021, Ingleside students will attend all classes each day following our every other day white/blue elective schedule for 45-minute class periods. This means that students on white days will attend ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies, and their white day elective and on blue days students will attend ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies, and their blue day elective. Individual student schedules will NOT change.
For in-person learners, there will still be “grab and go” lunch and transportation immediately following our release at 11:55am.
Please note the class time differences for Wednesdays. On Wednesdays, we will have a 25-minute Advisory time included with first period to allow for us to continue Second Step and other Social Emotional Learning (SEL) opportunities. On Wednesdays, classes will be 40 minutes, rather than 45 minutes to support this time.
In partnership,
Erin Kadera, Proud Interim Ingleside Principal
FOR 8TH GRADE PARENTS:
Wednesday, Jan 20 at 6:30pm -- AP Capstone Info night.
Arcadia High School was approved to offer the AP Capstone program for the 2021-22 school year! This innovative program will offer our students the opportunity to explore research topics and earn a diploma from the College Board.
Current 6th, 7th, and SOL students: Registration Q&A on Monday, Jan 25, 6-7pm LINK HERE
From Mrs. Kadera:
We have created a Google Form that includes all potential elective offerings for each individual grade level. When the links come out, please be sure that your child completes the correct grade level form. It is important to remind everyone that the elective offerings are not guaranteed; classes have to “make” with enough enrollment in order for us to offer them to students.
Each student gets 2.0 credits of electives for the year. This can be a combination of semester and yearlong electives. On the form, following each elective choice, you will see whether it is a .5 credit (semester) or 1.0 credit (yearlong). We request that a parent complete this online Google Form with their child so that decisions are made together and agreed upon. The electronic form will collect email addresses and can only be submitted once.
This is a new way to complete the registration process, so we ask for your patience.
BAND, ORCHESTRA & CHOIR SIGNUPS COMING SOON!
Looking for a class where you will make lifelong friendships, work as a team and make music along the way? Soon you will have the opportunity to sign up for Band, Orchestra, and Choir for the 2021-2022 school year!
We invite you to sign up for any of these ensembles, regardless of what this school year looked like for you. Band, Orchestra and Choir are open to anyone who wants to play an instrument or sing!
Our percent of students who qualify for free and reduced has declined to a point that we could lose our Title I status.
These funds help pay for one of our counselors, our Instructional Specialist, our intervention teachers, supplies and professional development for teachers, and parent involvement activities.
If you qualify, your family not only receives support with breakfast and lunch, but also reduced fees for athletics and other extra-curricular needs.
Please use a computer -- not a phone -- to complete the application. (The website doesn't work smoothly on a phone...)
If you need help completing the application, please contact Leticia Pereda, our Community Specialist at lpereda@susd.org, or your child’s guidance counselor. Your help is greatly appreciated!
