Building the Next Chapter
We are pleased to share a special video about the proposed expansion and renovation of the library! The video features interviews with library patrons and community members about why they love the library and why they support the campaign to make the library accessible to all. The video was created by SoRo School seniors (now graduates) Amelia Fisk, Brittani Frary, Olivia Gauthier and Rachel Moore as part of the Multimedia Squad course taught by school librarian Katherine Lucia. Please watch the video and share it widely! You can support the library's campaign by making a donation.
Vermont State Parks Day at the library, Wednesday July 13th, 10am
Join us in the library for a "show-and-touch" nature activity featuring skulls, beaver chew sticks, invasive insect specimens, possibly a live turtle, and more. Presented by Silver Lake State Park interpreter Ian "Nature Eagle" Dempsey, who has loved the outdoors for as long as he can remember.
Enjoy the State Parks this summer for free!
Did you know that the library has a State Parks Free Entry Pass that can be checked out for 3 days at a time? The pass allows up to 8 people in one vehicle free entry to any Vermont State Park.

DCF Books are in the library!
The library welcomes the addition of 30 Dorothy Canfield Fisher books on loan for the summer from the library at the South Royalton School. The DCF award, also called "Dorothy's List," was created to honor excellence in children's literature. Since 1957, Vermont students in grades four through eight have selected their favorite book from a list of 30 nominees. Come borrow, read, and be ready to vote on your favorite book for the 2016-2017 year!
Learning about drones is just one of the many free activities offered as part of our Summer Reading Program.
