Windseeker/Bent River Building
Erlands Turn Port Area Building into Event Venue and Future Pub

Lisa and Mike Erland, owners of Fun Country Powersports, are taking fun in a new direction.

The couple have purchased the former Four C's Catering and leased the former Windseeker/Bent River building, right next to the Columbia River and Riverfront Trail in the Port of The Dalles Industrial Area. They are combining the two into a catering and event business. They also plan to add a high-end pub with a limited menu to the former bar side of the building.

New Market Has Port Workers in Mind

West Second Street Market opened this month with the Port of The Dalles Industrial Area in mind. City vehicles and different Port businesses rely heavily on the Pacific Pride commercial gas pumps at the West Sixth Street Station. Both businesses are owned by Hattenhauer Distributing. At the West Second and Webber location, they are hoping to offer unique enough merchandise to make it a destination for residents and visitors alike, including a Beer Cave featuring regional microbrews.

Marina Busy with Northern
Pikeminnow Bounty Hunters

The Dalles Boat Basin appears to be on trend in 2018 to keep the title of most successful Northern Pikeminnow Sports Reward station, even though catches have been much smaller this year due to high river levels and fat current.

The Dalles, one of 19 pikeminnow stations, has accounted for more than one quarter of the bounty fish caught so far this year. This is in line with the past four years when The Dalles was first in numbers three times and second once, and accounted for an average 18 percent of the take.
