LETTER FROM THE CHAIR
Dear FNAME,
Fordham’s Marketing Area has launched a comprehensive guide to marketing careers (see Link). This resource offers a holistic overview of the diverse career domains within the field of marketing. The research team used a ground-up approach to conduct an extensive study by monitoring the postings on major online job boards in the U.S. and synthesizing the posted job titles and descriptions. Nine primary domains were identified, and the most prevalent job positions within each domain were presented along with an overview.
We also launched the marketing area LinkedIn page (Link) to keep in touch with you, faculty, students, alumni, and anyone else who is interested in keeping in touch with our area. I cordially invite you to ‘follow’ our page.
In this issue, you will find research conducted by my colleagues. Over the last few months, the marketing faculty have published in journals such as Harvard Business Review, Journal of Service Research, International Journal of Research in Marketing, Journal of Interactive Marketing, Journal of Business Research, and International Journal of Hospitality Management. You can read more about their research and publications, below.
I also convey my heartfelt congratulations to my colleagues, Dr. Luke Kachersky and Dr. Marina Carnevale, for their promotion to the rank of Associate Professor, and to Dr. Genevieve O'Connor for winning the Best Reviewer Award from the Journal of Services Marketing.
As usual, please feel free to get in touch with me at mnejad@fordham.edu, or any of my colleagues in the marketing area if you have any ideas for collaboration or joint projects.
Best regards,
Mohammad G. Nejad
