Fordham - Marketing Area News & Information

As the academic year comes to an end, it is a pleasure to share the Marketing Area's newsletter with you.

The marketing area faculty members have received many prestigious awards this academic year. Dr. Lerzan Aksoy received the SERVSIG Christopher Lovelock Career Contributions to the Service Discipline Award. Several of our colleagues received awards from reputable journals, as well as the University’s Distinguished Research Award and the Gabelli School of Business awards! This is a testament to the outstanding work of my colleagues. You can find a list of these awards in this newsletter. I also thank Mrs. Aida Lahood, the marketing area program manager, for her hard work in making great things happen.

As you may already know, Dean Donna Rapaccioli has decided to step down after fifteen years of serving as our Dean. I am grateful to Dean Rapaccioli for her leadership which led our school to rise to new levels and rankings. Dr. Lerzan Aksoy will serve as the Interim Dean of the Gabelli School of Business, beginning July 1st, 2022. We extend our congratulations to Dean Aksoy and look forward to her leadership. Fordham also welcomes President Tania Tetlow, our new President beginning July 1st, 2022! This is a historic moment for our University as President Tetlow will be the first layperson and first woman to lead the University in its 181-year history. You can learn more on

You can read the latest research by my colleagues on timely topics that are published in journals such as Harvard Business Review, among others. I also invite you to follow the Marketing Area LinkedIn page for the latest updates from the marketing area, industry news, and much more. As usual, please feel free to get in touch with me at or any marketing area faculty if you have any ideas for collaboration with our area.
