Climate + Art = Change

A special event to benefit the Community Environmental Council (CEC) & Sierra Club Los Padres Chapter

Southern California Artists Painting for the Environment (SCAPE) along with the Climate Reality Project (CRP) are presenting this two-day special Art Exhibit & Sale, plus Educational Events to benefit the award-winning CEC (Community Environmental Council) and the dynamic Los Padres Chapter of Sierra Club. All participating organizations are focused on climate actions and solutions.

Featured in the Assembly Room at the CAW will be over 130 artworks that reflect on the changing climate, with artists on site throughout the show. Jurist and established local artist Holli Harmon will be hosting her art, along with 75 known SCAPE artists. 40% of proceeds from art sales will benefit the CEC and Sierra Club.

Throughout the event, the Climate Reality Project, CEC and the Sierra Club will host informational tables, screen short films, and provide actions that everyone can take to address the climate crisis. EXPLORE ECOLOGY will host a children’s activities tent on Saturday, October 23rd. Kids of all ages (with parental supervisor) are welcome.

FoundCreate Art Classes are a creative learning environment for students to explore art. Teaching artist Emily Summers has 14 years of experience teaching youth art, and helps guide and instill a sense of confidence in the creative process in a lighthearted and fun environment.

The Santa Barbara Printmakers is a group of artists dedicated to creating and presenting prints that are made using hand and press printing techniques. Mixed Media Art for the Soul Retreat

This 2 day mixed media “Art for the Soul” retreat is an immersive experience in the art process. Through guided mixed media techniques and practices, journaling and self reflection you will be making art that flows.

The retreat is geared towards anyone who is curious about the creative path whether you are just exploring your creativity for the first time or are a practicing artist who feels stuck and wants to deepen your practice.

Call to Artists: Ready to Hang 2021

A pop-up community-wide art show at the CAW


It’s back. Ready to Hang is a community-wide art show that brings together artists of all stripes for an art sale and party, building our creative community. Get some more information and fill out an artist entry form at!

Deadline for entries: Either end of intake (November 17th, 1pm) or when we reach the max number of pieces of art we can fit on the walls, whichever comes first. This year, the max we can fit is 450 pieces.
