The Community Developer will work with various population groups of Greater Edmonton area to support community/ neighbourhood -led groups and broader community, to identify their needs, develop their action plans and find appropriate resources to collectively implement services and projects that serve the community.
The Health Active Community Kids (HACK) after school program is a unique after school program offered in partnership with Edmonton elementary schools to support children/youth in their development and make them successful in their lives.
The Dash is an 11-year old 5k/10k Race (run, walk (or push a stroller!) annual road race in central/ inner city Edmonton that has a health festival associated with it .The Dash is a collaboration between Action for Healthy Communities, the Running Room, Start2finish, and others.

Come Together Alberta Conference
The Alberta Urban Municipalities Association is pleased to announce that registration is now open for its Come Together Alberta Conference! The conference will be held in Edmonton at the Delta Edmonton South Conference Centre on May 16-17 and pre-conference sessions are available on May 15. The conference will offer participants inspiration and knowledge to take action to create communities that are more welcoming and inclusive, where residents and visitors are not at risk of social exclusion. Participants will have the opportunity to take part in experiential activities as well as hear about promising practices being led by municipal governments and community organizations.
The event is designed for municipal elected officials, municipal administrators and coordinators, human resource practitioners, provincial officials, community organizations, cultural organizations, libraries, housing organizations, educational institutions and anyone with an interest in creating more inclusive environments.
The cost is $75.00 and the optional pre-conference sessions are $25.00 each, not including GST. The agenda and registration details can be viewed at AUMA’s event page.
