It's (almost) that time of the year

You can buy gløgg, and we have made bundles of games for sale, and we're going to have a few days off. In other words, it is December soon.

We're almost never closed

except for Christmas and New Year's

We're closed on the 24th, 25th, and 26th of December, and again on the 31st of December and the 1st of January. And if you are not too hung-over, you are welcome to join the quiz on the 2nd of January... 

Game of the Month

A new take on 7 Wonders

December's Game of the Month, sponsored by Asmodee, is 7 Wonders: Architects, where you build your wonder by selecting cards, and every now and then going to war against your neighbours. Drafting has been replaced by selecting from one of three stacks, and you will gradually convert your scaffold to a fully-built wonder (unless someone else ends the game before you are finished).

Come by and try the game on Wednesday the 1st of December!

A guest showed us a game

and we liked the looks of it.

The Battle for Thor's Cliff is a game about making a young woman happy by bringing her amber and gems, partly because it seems to be the right thing to do, and partly because she's Thor's daughter. The latter may be the real point of it. And the other players will try to stop you, of course...

The Battle for Thor's Cliff (with the subtitle "a non-cooperative board game") is currently in the last days of its Kickstarter campaign.
