February is here

And with that comes winter break, celebration of love, and the nascent hopes of Spring. And some events - including a trip abroad.

Also, now that a certain virus is deemed less threatening to society, we're changing our opening hours:

Winter break

In the winter break weeks (weeks 7 or 8, depending on where you live), we expect to see more guests, so we will extraordinarily open Downstairs on those two Mondays, and open earlier (15.00) on the other weekdays of week 7.

Love is in the air

In mid-February, it will once again be Valentine's Day. While we do not encourage love-making in the cafe, we do support love in general. And to get you into the mood, we will feature a number of love-related boardgames on the shelves just inside the main door.

Crime Zoom: His Last Card

Crime Zoom: His Last Card will be our Game of the Month-and-A-Half in the second half of February and all March. The game is a cooperative investigation game set in Brooklyn in 1980.

This month, the Game of the Month is sponsored by Asmodee.

UK Games EXPO

In June 2022, for the 4th time, Bastard Tours sets sails over the North Sea and will visit UK’s biggest board game fair UK Games Expo 2022 in Birmingham.

This is the 16th UKGE and it has grown with the speed of a torpedo over the last years.

UKGE has 49.000 m2 of trade halls, a board game library, an open gaming area and a tons of other stuff to entertain you to the end of the next armageddon.

Bastard Tours is planning a tour from Thursday the 2nd June to Monday the 6th June 2022. We provide the frame by organizing group events during the trip and suggesting flights and hotel.

You book the hotel, flights and buy a ticket to the fair.

So pack your pony with big bags with room for anything because you are going on a new adventure bigger than eating moules-frites.
