How To Join the Meeting - from 7.45 onwards
PSC 2020 AGM Zoom guidance notes
Please join the meeting early to ensure your connection works and you can get used to the controls, the Host (Alan Fuller) will be available for at least 15 minutes before to assist.
If there are several voting (over 18) members in the same household, then voting will be simpler for you if you each have a separate device / login. If that is not possible and you have to share the call with a fellow member who also has voting rights, please email the Host at
email@example.com to let him know before the start.
If your Zoom name is not your full name, please change your name to include your first and last names; if you are sharing your computer please use a name that makes it clear e.g. Jim & Jane Sailor.
The Zoom link below will send you straight to the 'waiting room'. The PSC Host will admit you after noting your name for the register. If you are prompted for a password it is pscagm.
You will be muted by default. Please do not un-mute yourself unless you are speaking.
The meeting will be recorded by Zoom for the purpose of minute taking.
For information, the Committee will be present in the clubhouse, (allowed as it is a business meeting).
Limited pre-booked places in the clubhouse are available and should only be taken by members where use of technology is impractical.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to book a space.
Online voting will be via a box on your screen at the appropriate time.
Votes inside the clubhouse will be added manually.
If you have a question:
If at all possible, please submit questions prior to the meeting to save time. (email to email@example.com )
Zoom Meeting Access Code - click on the link below from 7.45pm
We hope that the majority of attendees will be on-line, but if this is not possible, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to book a space in the clubhouse. Priority will be given to those who cannot access the on-line platform.
The meeting documents are available to members by logging on to Sailing Club Manager on the website. Once logged on go to the menu on the right hand side, scroll down to Members Information, click and find the documents under AGM Papers. If you have forgotten your SCM login, click on Forgotten password? and follow the instructions.
If you have a question you would like to raise at the meeting, if at all possible please email the Commodore - email@example.com prior to the meeting.
The Committee, together with Alan Fuller our IT guru have worked hard, in these Covid times, to make the meeting as accessible as possible, but this is a new way of holding the AGM for Papercourt, so please be patient if there are glitches on the night
Restarting Sailing - Sunday 6th December Hurray, we are sailing again – Commencing Sunday 6th December
As lockdown 2 ends we are now able to sail again. Our Autumn Series will recommence on Sunday 6th December starting at 10.45am with three back to back, shortish, General Handicap races. The series will run through to Sunday 20th December so 9 races with 4 to count. As before cruising will be available from 10.30am and novices are encouraged to take part in the third race when the numbers will be lighter and the duration a little shorter. Don't forget all sailors must wear a wet or dry suit in the winter months.
As previously, please book in on the NHS Covid app or use the sign in book to register your attendance, remember to wear a face covering when in the building and preferably use the disabled toilets. Changing rooms are available on an “as necessary” basis but if at all possible please come changed and go home to change. If using the changing rooms, please ensure compliance with the Covid Rules on the doors. Access to the clubhouse will depend on the new restrictions and tiers in force locally, which are liable to change, but you will find suitable signage at the club on the day.
Class training and Youth training will take place on Saturdays during the Winter but your Class Captains and Youth leaders will provide you with separate information as to what is available each day in the lead up to Christmas.
Look forward to seeing back on the water.
Frank Brown, Sailing Secretary
