OzWater'22 in Brisbane

Join us in participating in the most extensive water exhibition in the Southern Hemisphere - OzWater'22.

The Australian Water Partnership is proudly supporting the Australian Water Association (AWA) to deliver a comprehensive and inspiring three-day conference program under the theme Our Water Journey. Our Water Journey celebrates the evolution of the water sector from its rich history, where we are now and what possibilities lie in our future.

The Australian Water Partnership is collaborating with the WaterAid, the International WaterCentreWater, Yarra Valley Water, and AWA's international team to highlight the importance of development work done by Australia in partnerships with neighbours across the Asia- Pacific region.

We welcome you to visit the AWP stand (L23) and meet some of our team, and we invite you to participate in these sessions.

Panel: Partnering for climate-resilient water security in Asia Pacific
Date: Wednesday 11 May 2022, 4.00–5.30pm (AEST)
Location: Stream 2 – Room M1 & online.

This interactive session will illustrate the value of being a development partner and working in partnerships with local and international partners present examples of demand for Australian expertise to address climate-resilient water security and provide a platform for attendees to discuss and reflect on the best ways to address those development problems.

  • Navara Kiene, Director of Programs, WaterAid, Papua New Guinea
  • Dr Regina Souter, Senior Research Fellow, International WaterCentre at Griffith University, Queensland

International Stream: Water for Development
Date: Thursday 12 May 2022, 11.15–3:15pm (AEST)
Location: Stream 8 – Room P1


The stream will highlight "twinning" programs developed in the region, and welcome delegates from those countries. It comprises three parts: 

  • Partnerships for Improving Resilience and Water Management Capability in Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia and Fiji (11.15am – 12.45pm)
  • Emerging Water Leaders Showcase (1.45–2.15pm)
  • Panel: Driving Adaptation and Improving Responsiveness to Disruption and Challenges through Partnerships for Development (2.15–3.15pm)
