Please join us at the Water, WASH and Climate Virtual Symposium from 20–23 June 2022.  AWP plays an active role in the Conference Committee and looks forward to being part of the following sessions.

Building equality into climate resilience -the critical case for gender and social inclusion in WASH & WRM
Date: Tuesday, 21st of June, 2:30 p.m

Convened by DFAT, Water for Women and WaterAid, the focus of the session will be on integration of GEDSI in WASH and WRM in the context of climate change and building resilience. AWP Program Officer Shreya Gyawali is presenting, and AWP Strategy and Partnerships Lead Katharine Cross is a panellist in this interactive session.

Water Resource Management to Alleviate Water- Mediated Disasters
Date: Wednesday, 22nd of June, 12:00- 2:00pm

The Secretariat for the Pacific Community (SPC), Alluvium International and the Australian Water Partnership are co-convening a session using the disaster risk management cycle (prevention, preparedness, response and recovery) to guide discussions on the role of water resources management in addressing water related disasters. AWP Program Lead, Rohan Kent will be a facilitator in the session.

This is Water, WASH & Climate: Stories from Practice

Date: Wednesday, 22nd of June, 2:30pm


AWP and International Water Centre will host Water and WASH professionals in sharing their experiences related to water management, WASH and climate change.  AWP General Manager Sarah Ransom will be moderating the session.
