It has been a very unusual rodeo season...in a good way.

When I started the year my main goal was to launch my young mare's career by taking her to the Senior Pro rodeos. Knowing we'd be missing a third of rodeos due to scheduling conflicts, I assumed I wouldn't have any kind of a shot at the season title anyway, so I might as well get Dot out in the world.

Hank (pictured above) had other ideas. From the first run in High River he upped his game to a whole new level and took me with him. At every rodeo he gave me a shot to win. Meanwhile, for one reason and then another, Dot wasn't ready to make her debut. When it all shook out at the end, we hung on to win the CSPRA season title by four little points.

With Hank killing it and me roping as good as I ever have, we decided to take a shot at another big goal: qualifying for the inaugural Canadian Finals Breakaway. And Friday night in Ponoka we managed to pull it off, despite being the only contestant who needed reading glasses to check the position draw!

With so much to celebrate, I figured you all should get in on the fun. For the first time ever I am participating in Booksweeps! Rather than going on about it myself, I'll let you go check it out and enter to win a ton of books and an ereader, plus find a whole lot of authors whose stories are likely to appeal to you if you're a fan of mine.
